Another great ride! Most of the MBBC clan showed up for this one, there were a total of 8 of us at the rally. Most of us rode the 46 mile route.... Burt was the lone MBBC rider on the 75 mile route. It was an interesting ride, the start was good and the terrain was similar to the Lancaster ride. There were a few moderate hills, one really fast downhill and a some rollers. The roads were good in the beginning but gradually got worse, a lot of bone jarring chip seal on the last half of the ride.... what are you going to do?
I finished in just under 3 hours with an average speed of 16mph and a max of 33.5mph. I only stopped at two rest stops and both seemed to be well stocked. The only problem I had was with other riders. It seems like the closer the rides are to Dallas, the more inconsiderate assholes you find on the course.
After the ride I helped myself to a shower and a snow clone, then headed back to the town of the cow!
