I went for a shorter ride today before I went to work and the wind just flat out sucked!! The wind was around 10 mph, it seemed much stronger, but it changed direction with every turn I made. At first I though I was just imagining it but when I took notice of the flags along the route, my suspicions were confirmed!
 
Yesterday was a much better and longer ride. The only problem I had today, besides the wind, was a little soreness in my right knee. I got in about six and a half miles today and twelve and a half yesterday. That's a little less than I had hoped to do, but I just dont have the time to get in a good long ride (15+) on the days that I work. 

  
  
 

This has been a good week for riding, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable on the bike and have been getting in some longer rides. I took a day off Friday and in the next three days put in 44.33 miles, including a 20 mile ride on Sunday with Lisa, Tony and Monica. My average speed is on the rise and even with taking the day off today (Tuesday), I've already put in more miles this week than any previous...... and I still have one day left in my riding week.

Ok, so your asking yourself why does blanca's ride week start on a Thursday? Why not! My work week normally starts on a Thursday and that’s when I decided to get off my ass. So it works for me!

In the next few weeks I hope to ride with Nathan's Crew on a longer organized ride. We'll have too see how things go!

Also, In a little more than a week, Steve and I will be taking a couple kayaks down the Coosa River..... Can't wait to get in the water!!
