Man, am I a lazy ass...... After almost two and a half months of riding, I have taken an extended break. It's been 18 days since I last mounted up, and I feel like shit. I would love to blame it on the DMB trip, my new schedule or my folks for taking over my house the past few weeks, but there is just no excuse. I'm a lazy ass! Time to get back in the saddle!

Hopefully I'll get back into my riding routine fairly quickly. I plan on riding today, probably just a short one. 8 to 15 miles would be nice. The HHH is now out of the question. With the unseasonably cool temperatures we've been having, this would be a great year for that ride, but my lazy ways have gotten the best of me lately and its just not a possibility. Next year I'll be ready for that bitch and I'll ride like it should be ridden..... in 95+ temps!

Last week Shayne, Coryne, Lisa and I took a trip to San Antonio to see the greatness that is The Dave Matthews Band. Man, what an incredible show! It was the 11th time I've seen them live and it seems to get better each time. We had great seats and a killer T-storm just prior to the show. The storm knocked out the power for about twenty minutes and kept us entertained. When we returned the next day, my folks were waiting for us at my house, they had just returned from El Paso. We unpacked, cleaned up a bit, then headed off to a little BBQ at Phils house. The next evening Lisa was kind enough to fix us a awesome enchilada dinner..... I can still taste the chili sauce. It was a great week, very filling but great!

Here in a couple weeks we'll be heading to Austin for the ACL Festival. Jeanna and Tamara will be joining us on this one and I cant wait! 130+ bands in three days..... and then we'll be off to Big Bend for some much needed hiking and climbing with the Newly Weds.

My action packed summers not over with yet.....
